The Risan maritime villa is a beautiful place to experience the ancient Roman aesthetic, as it preserves multiple examples of Roman taste in floor decoration: geometrical mosaic pavements, and a rare representation of the Greek god of sleep Hypnos adorning the floor of one of the villa’s bedrooms.
